Make Money by Renting Your Driveway or Garage

If you’re lucky enough to have a spare driveway or garage, you can make quite good money from renting out that parking space or garage. If you are in a city centre, where parking is limited, you can expect the income you can earn to be quite high, but there is still a need for driveway and garage parking in less populated areas as modern estates have less and less parking – and an increasing number of people are in families with multiple cars, or even boats and caravans that they wish to park up close by.

A lot of young professionals, renting an apartment in a city centre, don’t have a car, but they have an allocated parking space which they could rent out to neighbours, or people working in the area.

There are a couple of websites that can help you to rent out your parking space, driveway or garage. You set when your driveway is rented – some people will rent their allocated parking space out Mon-Fri 9-5 only, for example. Other people will offer their parking to tourists and holidaymakers and some people will just rent to one person long-term. It’s your choice.
